Original Air Date: September 20, 1975
Directed by: Hollingsworth Morse
Synopsis: The terrifically tanned and toned Mighty Isis (Joanna Cameron), superheroine extraordinaire, is endowed with all the powers of the vast animal kingdom and the ability to command the natural elements, so it seems kind of a letdown when she’s targeting a measly gang of car thieves . . . but they did steal her Chevy Camaro!
Kitty Cameo: On a dare, pert Cindy Lee (Joanna Pang) breaks into a junk yard to snoop around, and is startled by Henry the yard cat’s sudden vocal announcement and appearance as he trots past her toward the camera.
Later, Henry provides some much needed cover for Cindy when she creates a disturbance which alerts two nearby car thieves. One of the criminals spots the veteran mouser and concludes inaccurately that Henry caused the racket, temporarily saving Cindy from harm.
Final Mewsings: We’ve lost count of the number of times we’ve seen this trope, sometimes referred to as the Convenient-Decoy-Cat ploy.
