Synopsis: Scotland Yard detective, Holdroyd (Harold Warrender), pursues a gang of six criminals, hampered by his inability to crack their alibis.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Holdroyd’s subordinate, Hunter (Michael Evans), sits at his boss’s desk reading a newspaper with a black and white cat sitting within the ‘In’ tray.
The cat steps out of the tray, stretches and, as Holdroyd enters, jumps to the floor.
Later, Hunter is on the phone arranging a date at his own desk with the cat again sitting in the ‘In’ tray.
Hunter cuts the call short when Holdroyd enters, and when Holdroyd sends him out of the office to collect a finger print report he scoops the cat out of the tray and takes it with him. The cat isn’t seen again.
Final Mewsings: If I fits, I sits!
