Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: A group of high school girls find themselves the target of a driller killer during a slumber party.
Kitty Cameos: The girls all play on the school’s basketball team and the new girl, Valerie (Robin Stille) proves to be a good player, which causes her to be shunned by some of the other girls. Valerie’s neighbor, Trish (Michelle Michaels), wants to invite Valerie to a party at her house while her parents are away, but a stuck-up girl named Diane (Gina Smika Hunter) is against it. As Valerie arrives home there is a tabby and white cat on her front walk.
Amazingly enough, Valerie walks right by the cat and doesn’t even give it a second look, even though the cat looks like it is hoping for attention.
The girls’ coach, Rachel (Pamela Roylance) arrives home and asks her friend Pam (Amy Aquino) if she’s seen her cat, but Pam says she hasn’t seen the cat all day. Later that evening Rachel is home alone when she hears a noise. She slowly approaches a closed closet and opens the door. Immediately a gray and white tabby cat named Muffin flies out of the closet in true spring-loaded cat fashion and scares her. Rachel chases Muffin down the hall, apologizing.
Still later Valerie is home alone with her little sister, Courtney (Jennifer Meyers). A little orange and white tabby kitten is drinking milk from a dish behind them. The cat is next seen on the floor nearby as Courtney goes upstairs.
Later Valerie and Courtney go outside after hearing some noises to see if the girls at the party next door are okay. When they return home, the orange and white kitten runs down the path after them.
Final Mewsings: Funny how we apologize to cats for them scaring us!
