Synopsis: This early sound film, a loose adaptation of Shakespeare’s play, finds the dashing and not easily discouraged Petruchio (Douglas Fairbanks) setting out to win the hard heart of the fiercely independent Katherine (Mary Pickford).
Kitty Cameo: Early in the film Katherine, nicknamed Kate by Petruchio, is introduced by means of a series of objects flying from her room as she bursts into one of her tirades. Everyone within range runs for cover, including a tortoiseshell cat which leaps from a chair to a high shelf to avoid the ruckus.

Final Mewsings: Cats are typically averse to flying furniture.
