Directed by: Jack Smight
Synopsis: Steve Mallory (George Peppard) finds himself climbing up an embankment after a car crash with no memory of who he is but he soon learns he has a lot of people angry with him.
Kitty Cameo: Via his driver’s license, family and friends, Steve learns his identity and is taken home to his wife’s family mansion. While walking around the home he hears his Aunt Catherine (Mona Washbourne) in another room reading aloud. She says something about realizing a cat would not understand Thomas Mann. When Steve enters the room he sees his Aunt sitting beside a beautiful Siamese cat.
The cat remains in the room throughout their scene but is only ever seen sitting on the bench in the background.
Later in the film the cat is sitting on a couch with Aunt Catherine as she is talking to Steve’s wife, Alexandria (Elizabeth Ashley).
Final Mewsings: Cats enjoy classic literature.
