Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Brock and the boys get trapped inside a pod in the lab where their dreams come true.
Cartoon Cat: The episode introduces necromancer Dr. Byron Orpheus (voiced by Steven Rattazzi) and his daughter Triana (Lisa Hammer) who have rented a place in the Venture compound. Dr. Venture (voiced by James Urbaniak) is visiting his tenants when he is surprised by a black cat rubbing against his leg. (While it is not mentioned in this episode the cat’s name is Simba).
“She’s an affectionate little one,” Dr. Venture comments as he pets Simba. “Oh, my apologies, she’s in heat,” Dr. Orpheus explains.
Dr. Ventures starts to suggest some cure involving a wet Q-Tip but Dr. Orpheus moans in agony. “I tried that once, it was horrible. I couldn’t look at her for a week.”
Dr. Venture is worried, asking if the cat is Dr. Orpheus’ wife in some magical animal form. Dr. Orpheus quickly explains that his wife left him for a young necromancer.
Final Mewsings: Cats will tell you where you can stick your wet Q-Tips!
