Synopsis: When a foreign country fakes a kinetoscope showing President Grant signing a pact with a hostile nation it’s up to Jim West (Robert Conrad) and Artemus Gordon (Ross Martin) to put things right.

Kitty Cameo: In the middle of the episode Artemus is seen feeding a long-haired orange tabby cat some milk on the train. He explains he picked the cat up in Denver and intends on returning it there.

Later Jim and Artemus have sneaked out of the train, leaving revolving cutouts of themselves on a toy train circling and a record playing to make the bad guys think they are still there. It isn’t until the bad guys see one of the silhouettes knocked over by a giant paw that they suspect anything is amiss.

Racing into the train car, the thugs see the cat on the table with the overturned figures. One thug picks up one of the cutouts and then throws it down roughly right next to the cat.

Suddenly a dragon’s mouth opens and green smoke pours out. The cat runs away but the bad guys are knocked out. When the bad guys come to later the cat is on the back of a couch but runs away again.
