Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer
Starring: James Garner, Katharine Ross, Hal Holbrook
Directed by: James Goldstone
Synopsis: A murder mystery centering around the death of a young woman whose body was found washed up on a California shore with her seemingly enraged Doberman Pinscher hovering over her. But did the dog kill its master, or is there something even more sinister going on? Police chief Abel Marsh (James Garner) and veterinary nurse Kate Bingham (Katharine Ross) try to get to the truth behind the woman’s death.
Purr Blur: This is such a brief cat appearance it barely counts, but at one point in the film Abel Marsh goes to the veterinarian’s office and when he walks in the front door the waiting room is filled with animals, mostly dogs. But there is a cat in a carrier on the floor, meowing amidst the melee.
Final Mewsings: Feline Extra Hell: One poor cat in a movie filled with dogs.
