Timber Stampede (1939)

Synopsis: Scott Baylor (George O’Brien) tries to protect some timber region used for grazing cattle from being developed for a railway scam.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): In one scene the bad guys have Scott and his pal Whopper Hatch (Chill Wills) surrounded in a building. Scott sends Whopper out to get help. As Whopper exits the building, he stops when he sees a black cat.

Being superstitious, Whopper goes out of his way to get around the cat without letting it cross his path, providing a bit of comic relief and one very confused cat actor.
