Synopsis: In this early Hammer film melodrama, country gentleman Brian Harding (Patrick Barr) is permanently crippled in a horse riding accident and learns his death is inevitable. He spends his final days setting up a future for his family by trying to get his wife June (Avis Scott) to fall for another man.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): After Brian’s accident his brother-in-law Robert (Harry Fine) goes to speak to his sister at the stables and she comes up to him holding a tabby and white kitten in her arms.

The kitten wriggles around as they talk until she lets it jump to the ground and out of the film.

Final Mewsings: Life’s better with a cat to have and to hold.
