Synopsis: Max (Jean Gabin) and Riton (René Dary) are enjoying the spoils of their last great robbery but it is short-lived as rival gangsters scheme to steal their loot.

Purr Blur: Max is being driven to his apartment when he notices an ambulance following his car. Once inside the apartment, Max waits until he sees the “attendants” coming up in the elevator. Recognizing them as gangsters, he pulls a gun on them as they near his floor. He fires the gun to alert the people in the building and scare the men away. An elderly man who is lying in bed with his tabby cat is awakened and jumps up, scaring the poor cat who scrambles to safety.
