Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: The death of Sir Roderick Lyall sees his eccentric family gather at his ancestral Irish mansion, Ballyroden Hall, for the reading of the will. Everyone is shocked to hear that once debts are paid the only asset remaining will be the mansion. A suggestion that the mansion be turned into a guest house to bring in funds is supported by some of the family, but others endeavour to sabotage the scheme.

Cat Burglars (Scene Stealers): When the first paying guests, Eustace Mills (Naunton Wayne), Mrs. Cleghorn-Thomas (June Clyde) and her daughter Yvonne (Mara Lane), arrive for their holiday, expecting peace and quiet, they immediately find themselves subjected to attempts to persuade them to leave. This starts when they are shown to their rooms, each one having a little surprise in store for the new occupant. For Yvonne this involves pulling back the bed spread to reveal three cute tabby kittens snuggled together.

Hearing a noise outside, she looks towards the window.

And then, still holding the kitten, goes to the window to see what the commotion is.

Final Mewsings: Surely finding kittens in your bed is a reason to stay at a guest house, not leave?
