Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: One of director Kieslowski’s color trilogy of films. Julie (Juliette Binoche), the wife of a famous composer, finds herself shying away from life after a tragic accident changes everything forever.
Kitty Cameo: Julie moves into an apartment and at one point she finds a mouse has given birth to babies in her closet. She is terribly afraid of mice but unable to kill them, so she asks her neighbor if she can borrow his cat. The man hands her his orange tabby cat, warning that he is unneutered and can get violent. After handing the cat to Julie he notes that he doesn’t think the cat likes her.
Julie carries the cat to her apartment and fumbles to open the door.
Once open, Julie places the cat inside the apartment. The cat yowls and she closes the door.
