Synopsis: Michael and Karen Carr (Kurt Russell and Madeleine Stowe) find themselves the victim of a break-in and befriend police officer Pete Davis (Ray Liotta) who turns out to have a growing obsession with Karen.

Featured Feline: The Carrs own a long-haired golden tabby cat named Tiny (who is anything but!) Tiny is more Karen’s cat and doesn’t like Michael as much. We first see Tiny in a photograph above other photos of the couple.

Tiny is sleeping on the bed with Karen when she hears a noise.

Karen carries Tiny with her when she goes to Michael’s office to tell him about the noise. He goes downstairs to investigate, leaving Karen with Tiny in his office.

After fighting off an intruder, the police are called. Tiny the cat rubs against the officer’s leg and Pete Davis picks him up and hands him back to Karen.

One night during a thunderstorm Tiny is seen running downstairs.

The house alarm is tripped and Michael runs downstairs to battle the intruder, only to find Tiny tripped the alarm.

The police show up and tear the Carr home apart looking for something.

Michael is arrested on false charges, leaving Karen home alone. Her friend Penny (Deborah Offner) comes to help, taking Tiny to the kitchen to feed him.

Later Karen is startled to find Pete in the house. She says she needs to let Tiny back in and goes to the front door, but hears Tiny meow from the closet.

Retrieving Tiny from the closet, Karen finds Penny murdered. She then knows just how dangerous Pete really is.

Michael shows up and helps Karen. As they try to run from the house, they are startled by a noise. It turns out Tiny has knocked something over and broken it.

After seemingly killing Pete, the Carrs step outside their front door. There’s an eerie moment of quiet when Tiny suddenly comes down the stairs behind Michael.

Once Pete is really dead, Michael picks up Tiny. As in the rest of the movie, he picks the cat up completely wrong.

Michael, Karen and Tiny then sit on the front step of their home awaiting the police.

Final Mewsings: Tiny might have liked Michael better if Michael knew how to hold him properly.
