Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Meek pushover Wesley (James McAvoy) is shocked to learn that his estranged father was a top-notch assassin when he is recruited by a secret organization to avenge the man’s death.
Kitty Cameo: Wesley lives with his girlfriend Cathy (Kristen Hager) and a white cat named Annabelle. We only see Annabelle a few times, first when Wesley wakes up one morning only to find Cathy angry about their low-rent apartment. She gets out of bed and tells him to feed Annabelle. As Cathy goes into the bathroom, Annabelle runs across the floor.
Annabelle licks up the drink Wesley spills on the floor from a can.
A short time later Annabelle is seen again when Wesley’s best friend Barry (Chris Pratt) is seen making love to Cathy in the apartment. Annabelle sniffs at the wallet Barry has dropped on the floor.
The only other time Annabelle shows up is when Wesley returns to the apartment after learning about his lineage. He has his father’s gun and he stashes it inside the toilet tank. Annabelle is lying down nearby and gets up and slinks behind the toilet bowl.
Final Mewsings: Cats are even great in small parts.
