Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Dr. Wilfred Glendon (Henry Hull) returns to London from Tibet with some rare flowers and an affliction which turns him into a werewolf.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Dr. Glendon is in his office researching his affliction. A tabby cat is resting comfortably on a pillow on the desk.
The cat remains throughout the scene, even when Dr. Glendon is interrupted by his wife Lisa (Valerie Hobson) and her childhood boyfriend Paul (Lester Matthews).
This seems to be the most mellow cat in the world. But when Dr. Glendon sits and turns down the light, the cat suddenly gets scared, arching its back and swiping out and hissing.
The cat has sensed the full transformation that Dr. Glendon is about the undergo but doesn’t stick around for it, darting out of the scene.
Final Mewsings: Cats know what’s going on before we do!
Many thanks to Nick Wale for letting us know about the cat in this film.
