Hal Roach Studios
Starring: Edgar Kennedy, Jackie Cooper, Bobby ‘Wheezer’ Hutchins
Directed by: James W. Horne
Synopsis: Kennedy the cop is walking his beat on a scary, windy night as Jackie accidentally gets locked out of his house and sets off a burglary panic in the neighborhood.
Purr Blur: As the short begins, the windy neighborhood street at night is shown. A cat can barely be seen in the road.
Kitty Cameo: Kennedy the cop is walking his beat when he hears a strange noise. He doesn’t know that it’s a cat hiding in a garbage can.
The cat then jumps out of the can and scares Kennedy.
Cat Cattle Call (with Kitty Carnage Warning!): Later in the short Kennedy is on the hunt for the burglars. He stands facing an alley and threatens that if they don’t come out he’ll shoot. Suddenly a large number of cats come flying into the scene, some of them quite literally as they are being thrown in by the film crew! Understandably the cats then scatter.
Final Mewsings: Cats don’t appreciate being thrown en masse into scenes.
