Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: When Gayle’s (voiced by Megan Mullaly) cat Mr. Business is scouted to replace a famous cat food spokescat, Bob (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin) finds himself not only shelling out the money for the venture but having to train the cat as well.
Cartoon Cats: Mr. Business is the name of Gayle’s grey and white long-haired cat who happens to look like the spokescat for the Chef’s Cat Cat Food company and is spotted by an animal agent who charges Gayle for headshots.
A skeptical Bob goes to see Ian the agent (voiced by John Oliver) but comes away thinking the man might be on to something. Unfortunately when Gayle and Linda take Mr. Business to Ian’s office for a test run the cat attacks the agent.
Ian tells them they must train the cat but the only one Mr. Business seems to listen to is Bob, so he’s given the job.
After a lot of work Bob finally gets Mr. Business to knock over a bottle of spice, the action he must perform in the commercial.
Unfortunately for Mr. Business, Ian has taken on another client, another Chef Cat lookalike named Jessica owned by a woman named Fluffy, so Mr. Business is no longer being represented and Bob must take him to the audition and compete against Ian’s new client.
Gayle has second thoughts at the audition because Mr. Business licks all the fur off the belly.
In the end Mr. Business stays out of show business but knocks everything in Gayle’s home over.
Final Mewsings: Cats can be trained but it can backfire.
