Castle Films
Synopsis: A silent short film in which a trainer is seen with his animals, including a cat, a dog, a raven who types, a penguin who wanders through town and a lion who likes to wrestle.
Featured Feline: Bessie, a striped tabby, starts off the short and is introduced as a farm cat who has a will of her own.
Bessie walks over to where the trainer is milking a cow. She climbs into the man’s lap.
The caption reads “From producer to consumer” and Bessie is shown drinking from a stream of the cow’s milk.
Everything is well and good until Tommy, a watch dog, has to get into the act. He darts into the scene and goes after Bessie.
Poor Bessie runs up a tree to get away from the dog.
Final Mewsings: Can’t a cat have a drink of fresh milk in peace?
