Music Artist: Paula Abdul

Synopsis: Paula Abdul and MC Skat Kat rap and dance in this amazing combination of animation and live action.

Cartoon Cats: MC Skat Kat had the co-starring role with Abdul and dances with her in alleys and on rooftops.

Reportedly the use of animation and live action was inspired by Gene Kelly’s dancing with Tom and Jerry in the film Anchors Aweigh.

The voices behind Skat Kat on this single were The Wild Pair, Bruce DeShazer and Marv Gunn.  MC Skat Kat also released an album in 1991 featuring some of the other characters seen in this video named Fatz, Taboo and Micetro.

Final Mewsings: Animated cats and real women can make a good couple.
