Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!

Synopsis: Another half-hour of zany sketches from Britain’s classic comedy team.

Implied Kitty Carnage Warning: One segment features a series entitled “Real Interesting People” in which the host (Michael Palin) interviews a bizarre mix of guests. One such guest is Mr. Don Savage (Graham Chapman) who is introduced with his cat Tiddles. At first Tiddles is obviously a fake cat and for good reason. The host sets a bucket down in front of the stage and asks what it is that Tiddles does. “She flies across the room and lands in a bucket of water,” Mr. Savage explains. “By herself?” “Uh, no, I fling her!” He proceeds to swing the fake cat around by the tail, then lobs her at the stage.

Purr Blur: There is a sound of something landing in a bucket and a real tabby cat is shown sitting inside the pail for just a second. The cat looks like it’s about to jump out of the pail which is probably why the shot is so short.

Final Mewsings: Cats are happy to have fake stunt doubles!

Many thanks to Stevie Holcomb for reminding us of the cat in this episode!
