Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: The lives and complicated relationships of the people living on Callejón de los Milagros in Mexico City.
Kitty Cameo: A bookseller named Ubaldo (Óscar Yoldi) owns a white and gray kitten which he carries on his shoulder while sorting books.
He is surprised by a visit from Eusabia (Delia Casanova), the wife of Don Ru (Ernesto Gómez Cruz).
Eusabia is upset and says she is living a terrible tragedy. Ubaldo tells her tragedies are things of Sophocles. When this makes her cry even more, he asks her to come in.
Ubaldo sits with the kitten in his lap and he and Eusabia discuss her problems; that of her husband carrying on with a young man. Ubaldo tries to convince her that the relationship is likely platonic.
Final Mewsings: Cats can sleep through most human relationship dramas.
