Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: After a group of teenagers gain access to a department store at night, they become targeted by a disgruntled police officer who blames them for his troubles.
Kitty Cameo: One of the teens, David (Miles Buchanan), breaks into the store’s computer system to open the security door on a bet. As they wait for the door to open, a tabby cat literally falls out of nowhere onto a garbage can, scaring them.
Later Jack (Marcus Graham) and Kathryn (Kathryn Walker) hear a noise in the store and Jack climbs the escalator to find the source, not knowing the angry cop Murphy (Steven Grives) is there. As he reaches the top of the escalator he sees the tabby cat.
Jack calls the cat “Little Pervert” and then heads back down to Kathryn, saying it’s just a cat and wondering why it is in the store.
Kitty Carnage Warning! Unfortunately, Murphy calls the animal to him in a sweet voice and then off camera breaks the poor cat’s neck.
Final Mewsings: Cats shouldn’t follow kids or killer cops into department stores after hours.
Many thanks to Mark Murton and Ben Saddington for letting us know about the cat in this thriller.
