Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains MAJOR spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: A sheep farming couple, Maria (Noomi Rapace) and Ingvar (Hilmir Snær Guðnason), have their isolated lives changed when one of their sheep gives birth to an unusual offspring.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): A nameless tabby cat lives in the house on the farm, first seen when Ingvar is cooking a meal. The cat looks up from a bowl and then settles for whatever crunchy food is inside.
For the most part the cat is just seen in various parts of the house and plays no direct part in the proceedings.
Still the cat actor manages to steal every scene in which he appears, especially the only time he appears outdoors in the beautiful Icelandic landscape.
The cat is a true performer, even managing to act ill at ease while being held by Ada, the unusual offspring the couple has taken for their own child.
The animal trainer on the film was Robert Garcia.
Final Mewsings: Cats keep their cool even when things around them are getting strange.
