The Agitator (1945)

Synopsis: After unexpectedly inheriting the large firm where he works, socialist Peter Pettinger (William Hartnell) tries to run it according to his political beliefs.

Purr Blur: Attempting to convince a sceptical workforce of his profit-sharing intentions, Pettinger arranges a meeting of the company’s foremen at the local Engineer’s Club. As he arrives a tuxedo cat can be seen on the steps to the building.

The kitty then makes its way down onto the pavement and saunters off out of shot.
