A Time to Kill (1955)

Directed by: Charles Saunders

Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: A tale of blackmail, murder and intrigue sprouts from a series of relationships between a doctor, his wife, a chemist and his many loves.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): The story is a bit too complicated to go into here, but near the end of the film Sallie Harbord (Rona Anderson) is trying to find out more information about murder victim Madeline Tillard (June Ashley). She goes to visit Madeline’s estranged father, Phineas (John Le Mesurier), a reclusive man prone to zealous religious convictions. His tabby cat, whom he refers to as Pussy or Cat, is first seen on the fireplace mantel.
