Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: An all-star, two-part, made-for-TV version of the Lewis Carroll story finds Alice (Natalie Gregory) visiting Wonderland and meeting many odd characters.
Kitty Cameo: Early in the film Alice is sitting with her sister (Sharee Gregory) outside. Her sister suggests Alice act more grown up. Frustrated, Alice walks over to her beautiful white Persian cat Dinah, picking her up and asking, “Dinah, dear, you think I’m grown up, don’t you?” Dinah, of course, does not respond.
Dinah also doesn’t react when the white rabbit runs by and Alice chases after him.
Near the end of part one, Alice finds her house and thinks she is home. Then she hears meowing nearby (or rather someone meowing like a cat.) Looking through the mirror, Alice sees Dinah on the rug. But the cat is not in the room with her.
Alice realizes she is looking through the mirror into her home but she can’t get through or make her parents hear her.
Final Mewsings: Cats are not usually concerned with our problems.
Many thanks to Erin T. Aardvark for letting us know about the cat in this film.
