Synopsis: A generic title for the familiar fantasy tale of evil Caliph Alquazar’s (Christopher Lee) plot to master the world, if only he can get his grasping hands on the magical Rose of Ellil, which would complete his somewhat haphazard preparations. The forces of good which oppose the dictatorial and short-tempered Caliph include youngster Majeed (Puneet Sira) and his little monkey Shakti, the lovely and sometimes confused Princess Zuleira (Emma Samms), and Prince Hasan (Oliver Tobias), the obligatory sword-fighting hero.
Purr Blur: Princess Zuleira’s white Persian cat is glimpsed briefly on a colorful pallet a couple of moments before the nasty Alquazar conjures up a so-so wind storm.

The camera panning in and out in these brief sequences does the cat no favors, as first the kitty is completely hidden behind a screen, then faces away from the camera for most of his or her time on camera.

Final Mewsings: The white Persian cat was just marking time at the studio until his next appearance in a James Bond movie.
