English Title: Crime on the Highway
Directed by: Bruno Corbucci
Synopsis: Unorthodox undercover cop Nico Giraldi (Tomas Milian) returns in yet another poliziottesco, this time tracking down hijackers who focus on shipping trucks traveling on busy Italian highways.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): At the start of the film, Nico is at home and dressed in a clown suit to entertain at his young son Rocky’s (Paco Fabrini) birthday party. After performing a magic trick, Nico introduces the children to a tuxedo cat named Filiberto.

Nico explains that Filiberto is a very important cat because he won first prize at a dog show. When Rocky asks how this is possible, Nico answers, “He ate the dog that won first prize!”

After this Nico sets Filiberto down and the cat wisely ducks under a large cabinet never to be seen again.

Final Mewsings: Cats are terrific at magic, using cabinets to disappear!
Many thanks to Nick Wale for letting us know about the cat in this film.
