Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Marsha, Queen of Diamonds (Carolyn Jones), continues her obsessive efforts to purloin the renowned Bat-Diamond (over 10,000 carats!), which Batman (Adam West) and Robin (Burt Ward) use to power the amazing Bat Computer. Thus far, Marsha’s quest has been stymied because the diamond resides in the mysterious Bat Cave, the location of which is known only to the Dynamic Duo (and Alfred). To further her devious plan, Marcia relies on the black arts, as practiced by inept enchantress Aunt Hilda (Estelle Winwood). Will the Caped Crusaders succumb to the dastardly designs of the perfidious Marcia and her shady acolytes or will they once again emerge victorious to strike a resounding blow for all that is good and honorable?
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Marsha and the Grand Mogul (Woody Strode), who carries Circe, a ginger tabby cat, brazenly enter the office of Commissioner Gordon (Neil Hamilton) at Gotham Police Headquarters to confront the commissioner and Chief O’Hara (Stafford Rep) with Batman and Robin in the form of two toads.
Marsha takes Circe from the Grand Mogul to directly threaten the two toads, thereby intensifying the blackmail pressure on Gordon and O’Hara.
Suddenly, the true Batman and Robin appear and quickly overcome the two villainous antagonists.
Alone among the participants, Circe is calm and relaxed throughout the entire sequence.
Final Mewsings: Cats prefer not to eat toads or caped crusaders.
