Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: A Halloween themed episode covers a party at the Peach Pit while Toni (Rebecca Gayheart) and Dylan (Luke Perry) hand out candy to trick or treaters while working out their problems.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Toni brings Halloween decorations home and instructs Dylan to hang a skeleton on the front door. When he opens the door, he finds a scraggly, female, polydactyl black kitten standing outside. “Oh, look out! Look out! Trouble!” Dylan says.
Toni is immediately smitten. Dylan is concerned, worried that the black kitten will bring them bad luck but Toni dismisses this notion. They name the kitten Trouble.
Later Dylan and Toni attempt to give the kitten a bath. As soon as Toni tries to put Trouble in the bath she gets scratched (this supposedly happens just off camera).
Dylan sends Toni into the bathroom to find some disinfectant but she accidentally finds his gun in the first aid kit. Dylan enters the bathroom with the kitten and tries to explain.
Still later, Bruno (Cliff Weissman) visits and tells Toni that Marchette wants to meet with her. Bruno is holding Trouble at the beginning of the scene.
Dylan is playing with Trouble when Toni returns from a meeting with her father and notes immediately that she is upset.
On Halloween night, Dylan is handing out candy to trick or treaters while Toni sulks on the couch. Trouble climbs up on her.
Toni moves Trouble aside and Dylan points out that the kitten is just playing. This was the first appearance of Trouble in the series.
Final Mewsings: To cat lovers, kittens are no trouble at all!
