Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: The Canadian sketch comedy show starring John Byner includes outrageous parodies.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): One sketch is a take-off on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson with Byner impersonating Carson to perfection in one of his animal encounter segments. In this instance Carson and his sidekick Ed bring out Larry the Animal Man who first comes on with a German Shepherd puppy. Carson gets very excited and interested albeit a bit nervous. Next is a parakeet which inspires even more intensity from Carson. Finally Larry brings out a bundled pink blanket. “Oh no, look out!” Carson says, “We’re talking ferocious here now! Look at that, he’s trying to hide so he can pounce!” Larry pulls down the blanket to reveal an adorable gray kitten.
“Just what is that thing?” Carson asks. “This is a kitten, Johnny,” Larry explains. “A kit-ten!” Johnny repeats phonetically.
Carson overreacts to the kitten until Byner’s stage manager comes out and says the parody has gone too far.

Final Mewsings: Be careful when handling kit-tens!
Many thanks to Ted Davis for letting us know about the kitten in this episode!
