Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Bunny O’Hare (Bette Davis) is an older woman who has her house demolished out from under her and hooks up with a crook named Bill (Ernest Borgnine) to learn his trade.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): At the beginning of the movie Bunny’s house is being demolished and she calls her daughter Lulu (Reva Rose) from a pay phone across the street. Lulu answers and is talking to Bunny as an orange tabby cat jumps up on the table behind her where Lulu’s husband Lloyd (Herb Marlis) is sitting. The cat starts eating out of the bowl on the table.

Lulu tells her mother that the cat is eating Lloyd’s breakfast and she drops the phone to get the cat. At this point a bulldozer slams into Bunny’s house and she drops the phone. When Lulu comes back on the phone she is holding the cat and wondering why her mother doesn’t answer on the line. The cat is not seen again after this.
