Synopsis: Yep, after serving a stint in the U.S. Navy, Bus Riley (Michael Parks) is indeed back in the small town where he was raised, struggling to find a purpose to his life, but he’s distracted by the wiles of manipulative baby-talking siren Laurel (Ann-Margaret), his now married ex-girlfriend, and alternately soothed by pretty sweet natured Judy (Janet Margolin) in this underwhelming and over familiar drama cobbled together from an old William Inge play.
Kitty Cameo: A bored longhair white cat does not respond to Laurel’s overtures for playtime, clearly uninterested in the ball of yarn tied to a ribbon which she shoves at him.
Final Mewsings: Ann-Marget loves cats . . . and cats are usually fond of her as well!
