Synopsis: Abel Davos (Lino Ventura) is a career criminal who needs help returning to Paris and is deeply disappointed when his associates send another freelance criminal named Stark (Jean-Paul Belmondo) instead.
Kitty Cameo: When Davos does return to France he seeks vengeance against those who wronged him. One such man is the crime organization’s fence, Arthur Gibelin (Marcel Dalio). Davos enters Gibelin’s office and threatens him, then tells him to bring his secretary in. The woman (Evelyne Ker) is outside the office with a long-haired tortoiseshell cat. She is trying to feed the cat a fish from the fish tank but the cat is having none of it.
Hearing the buzzer to enter the office, the secretary throws the fish back into the tank and huffs, “Idiot!” at the cat.
As the secretary enters the office, the cat looks back as if to say, “WTF?”
Final Mewsings: The cat knows who was being the real idiot.
