Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: A popular gospel singer, coldblooded Tommy Brown (Johnny Cash), murders his tight-fisted blackmailing wife Edna (Ida Lupino) and youthful playmate Maryann Cobb (Bonnie Van Dyke) by rigging a private airplane crash, but deceptively rumpled Lt. Columbo (Peter Falk) of the LAPD homicide squad cannot be fooled by Tommy’s manufactured subterfuge and chips away at the singer’s progressively shaky alibi.
Purr Blur: During the first conversation between Columbo and Tommy Brown, as they walk away from an ongoing lawn party to the pool house, a dark grey cat emerges from the back of the house proper.

Final Mewsings: The kitty was arriving fashionably late to the party.
