Synopsis: An underrated comedy gem from the pen of Jack Rosenthal featuring interweaving stories of seven households caught up in a property chain on moving day, each one dependent on the other.
Kitty Cameo: Part of the chain are a family from Holland Park who are leaving their home with the last of their belongings. These include a fluffy white cat in a wicker cat basket being carried by the daughter, Rosemary (Charlotte Long).

As her mother (Judy Parfitt) follows her down the steps, Rosemary carries the cat around the back of the car to the passenger seat, only to be told by oher mother that “Lady Diana” (the cat) can’t possibly ride in her brand new Daimler and she and the kitty will have to follow behind in her father’s car.

Final Mewsings: Cats deserve to ride in style, too.
