Synopsis: Johnny (Al Pacino) is an ex-con who gets a job at a diner where Frankie (Michelle Pfeiffer) works as a waitress. These two lonely people connect but Frankie’s hesitation may ultimately keep them apart.
Kitty Cameo: Before he is able to connect with Frankie, Johnny ends up sleeping with another waitress at the diner named Cora (Kate Nelligan). The scene in her apartment opens with a shot of a tabby cat watching Arsenio Hall on television.
The cat is seen again in another shot during this scene.
At the end of the film, there is a montage of all of the various characters in the morning. Cora is seen looking at another man in her bed. The tabby cat is sitting beside her, still watching television.
Final Mewsings: Cats can keep themselves entertained while their humans make out.
