Synopsis: L.A. weatherman Harris K. Telemacher (Steve Martin) finds himself falling for British journalist Sara McDowel (Victoria Tennant) but it may take a little magic in wacky Los Angeles to bring them together.

Kitty Cameos: As Harris is waiting for his girlfriend Trudi (Marilu Henner) he sees a long-haired white cat with one yellow and one blue eye sitting nearby.

In another shot the cat is suddenly short-haired (or has undergone an amazing amount of grooming!)

Trudi approaches the car and we can see the cat is sitting outside her building.

Harris owns a calico cat which is seen with him in several scenes, once when Harris is waking up in the morning.

Another time the cat is with him as he writes “Bored Beyond Belief” on a window. The phone rings and Harris asks the cat, “Are you expecting a call?”

The cat is last seen as Harris is talking to yet another girlfriend, SanDeE* (Sarah Jessica Parker) on the phone. He has to hold the phone away from his ear when SanDeE* squeals after he asks if she wants to go to Santa Barbara with him.

It should be noted that Harris drives around with a stuffed Garfield on the back windshield of his car. The stick-on toys were popular but usually people put them on the inside of the car looking out!

Final Mewsings: L.A. cats are used to the kookiness.
