Synopsis: Maurice Legrand (Michel Simon) is in an unhappy marriage but finds comfort with a mistress named Lucienne (Janie Marèse), all of which leads to tragedy.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): At a pivotal point in the film, the scene fades in to a tiny black kitten sitting on a windowsill. The camera then pans up to reveal a horrific scene.
