Synopsis: Mystery writer Kenneth Magee (Phillip Terry) arrives at the resort called Baldpate which is supposed to be deserted during the winter. So why are there so many people showing up and with sinister motives?

Purr Blurs: When Magee arrives at Baldpate he meets a man named Cargan (Eduardo Ciannelli) who claims to be the caretaker. As they head upstairs, a black cat comes running down the stairs with a screech, startling Magee.

Mere seconds later a black cat is seen sitting on a post and also jumps in front of Magee with a screech.

Later in the film Magee has been joined by Mary (Jacequeline White) who starts out trying to scare him away but then realizes something strange is going on. As they walk down the stairs in a secret passageway a third black cat screeches and runs off, startling them.
