Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!

Synopsis: A one-man circus peddler named Willie O’Hara (Red Buttons) camps at the Ingalls’ farm and causes trouble when he starts handing out a magic elixir purported to cure all ills.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): When Laura (Melissa Gilbert) and Mary (Melissa Sue Anderson) go into town, Laura takes along the family dog Jack (played by Barney). She leaves Jack outside the general store with orders to wait for her. But a tabby and white cat happens to be hanging out on the benches around a tree in the center of town.

The cat is minding her own business making biscuits on the bench but Jack can’t help but be interested.

As the cat disappears behind the tree, Jack darts forward into the path of a passing wagon and is gravely injured.

Final Mewsings: Cats are not responsible for dogs being dumb.
