Starring: Douglas Booth, Helen McCrory
Directed by: Dorota Kobiela, Hugh Welchman
Synopsis: A hand-painted animated film in which a man named Armand Roulin (Douglas Booth) tries to find out the truth behind the untimely death of Vincent van Gogh.
Kitty Cameo: In one scene Armand is seen drinking in the background while a cat appears in the corner of the screen.
This particular moment in the film is based on van Gogh’s painting of Daubigny’s Garden and there is some question as to why the black cat was painted out of later versions. More on this subject can be found on the Johnny Times website.
Final Mewsings: All the best painters painted cats!
