Synopsis: An ex-con named Charles (Jean Gabin) plans a big casino heist and recruits Francis Verlot (Alain Delon), a young thief eager to learn the ropes.
Purr Blur: During the heist, Francis is startled while climbing a ladder by the sound of a cat crying out, but this cat is not seen. However near the end of the film when Francis is walking to the swimming pool area, a black cat can be seen crossing the road in the background.
Final Mewsings: Black cats don’t bring bad luck but they know when it’s about to happen!
