Napoleon (1927)

by Ted Davis

Also Known As: Napoleon vu par Abel Gance

Directed by: Abel Gance

Synopsis: As a serious single-minded boy, Napoleon (Vladimir Roudenko) is consumed by intimations of his monumental destiny, which he begins to realize as a highly ambitious young man (Albert Dieudonné) when, after overcoming numerous and considerable obstacles, he embarks on the conquest of Italy.

Purr Blur: A black street cat sits to watch a group of soldiers on horseback chase Napoleon, who has just liberated the flag of France from a tired congregation of cowed and worthless politicians.
