English Title: Pelle the Conqueror

Synopsis: Pelle (Pelle Hvenegaard) is a young Swedish boy who emigrates with his father Lassefar (Max von Sydow) from Sweden to Denmark in search of work and a new life.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): The widow Lassefar and his son are hired to work on a farm. In an early scene, Pelle takes some milk from one of the cows and feeds it to a tiny tabby kitten.
Pelle pets the kitten as it laps up the milk.
Unfortunately one of the young foremen shows up. Pelle pushes the kitten away from the bowl and dumps out the milk. Pelle gets in trouble for his effort.
Final Mewsings: Good boys feed hungry kittens, regardless of the consequences.
