Playing Around (1930)

Directed by: Mervyn LeRoy

Synopsis: Sheba Miller (Alice White) tires of her boring boyfriend Jack (William Bakewell) and starts hanging around with the more exciting Nickey (Chester Morris), not realizing what kind of business makes him so exciting.

Purr Blur: In an establishing shot outside Sheba’s home, a car is turning a corner. What appears to be an empty street suddenly has a black cat standing in it! But look closely . . . the cat is standing in front of a garbage can and enters the street as the car passes.
