Synopsis: Navy veteran Michael Cochran (Kevin Costner) visits a friend in Mexico who has a beautiful wife which leads to a destructive dalliance.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Late in the film Michael is checking into a hotel. There is a long-haired white cat at his feet.

The clerk explains that a rock band has checked in. The female lead singer (Sally Kirkland) suddenly storms the desk, complaining that the door to her room has been left open again and her cat has gotten out. She is frantic, yelling and carrying on. Michael calmly reaches down and picks up the cat, handing it to her.

The singer takes the cat, calling her Precious, and hugs her. A blooper was left in when the cat’s claw remains hooked in the bandages on Kevin Costner’s hand. Kevin tries to gently shake the claw loose but finally reaches up and removes it, gives the clerk a look and walks away.
