Synopsis: Detectives Chris Lecce (Richard Dreyfuss) and Bill Reimers (Emilio Estevez) work a stakeout together hoping to find an escaped convict only to have the situation complicated by Lecce falling for woman they are watching.

Purr Blur: At one point Reimers arrives to relieve the night shift at the stakeout; Detectives Phil Coldshank (Dan Lauria) and Jack Pismo (Forrest Whittaker) as well as their bulldog Winston. As the men and dog get into their car to leave, Reimers watches from the window. There is a sudden “poor cat” screech and Reimers laughs. As a joke he has placed a brown tabby cat into the men’s car and the cat chases a terrified Winston down the street.
