Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Nervous and high-strung Helen Clarvoe (Joan Hackett) asks attorney Paul Blackshear (Kevin McCarthy) to resolve her stressful and long-standing conflict with unhinged Dorothy Johnson (Kathleen Nolan), who blames Helen for the breakup of her marriage engagement. During the course of meeting his obligation to Helen, Blackshear becomes involved in murder, and discovers a twisted skein of madness within one of the participants.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): In his attempt to locate Dorothy, Blackshear visits a photography studio where owner Jack Terola (George Furth) is taking high fashion photos of friendly and flirty Robin Rath (Peggy Moffitt), who is posing on a raised dais while holding Snow, a long-haired, even-tempered, fluffy white cat with a floppy tail.
Leaving the dais, Robin makes a kissy face to the cat and hands Snow to Tommy Thompson (Anthony McBride), another model, who places the mild-mannered beast in its basket. Robin’s hair and dressed are messily clipped in back to keep everything tight, a common modeling trick.
Final Mewsings: Cats may model but draw the line at being clipped in back.
